The Fusion Collection is the one I get the most requests about. Every week someone drops an anime character fusion idea in chat or in my DMs, and honestly — some of them are better than what I had planned.
So here's the current shortlist. Ten anime fusions I want to draw, ranked loosely by how ready the concept is. The last one on the list gets built first on stream, based on votes in Twitch chat.
1. Itachi x Deku (Naruto x MHA)
This is a character fusion that surprised me when it came up, but the more I think about it the more it works. Both characters carry an impossible burden in silence. Both have hidden reserves that the world around them doesn't fully understand until it's too late. The visual challenge is merging Itachi's calm intensity with Deku's raw emotional expressiveness — two characters who look and carry themselves very differently.
The color story is the interesting part: Itachi's darkness against the green lightning of Full Cowl. I think there's something there.
2. Zoro x Gyutaro (One Piece x Demon Slayer)
Two swordsmen who fight with absolute commitment and zero self-preservation. The difference is the nature of that commitment — Zoro's is about ambition and loyalty, Gyutaro's is about survival and resentment. That tension between the two motivations in one frame could be the most emotionally interesting anime character fusion on this list.
Visually: the swords merge naturally. Three blades on one side, sickle-energy on the other.
3. Killua x Toji (HxH x JJK)
This is the assassin fusion. Both characters are defined by a clinical relationship to violence — not rage, not impulse, but craft. The Zoldyck bloodline and Toji's sorcerer-killer instinct come from similar places even if the shows are completely different in tone.
I've sketched this one twice already. It's close.
4. Levi x Kokushibo (AOT x Demon Slayer)
Humanity's strongest soldier against the Upper Moon One. This anime fusion idea works because both characters have a similar visual grammar: economy of movement, an aesthetic that reads as old, and an almost disturbing calm in combat.
The visual challenge is the breath forms vs. Kokushibo's sword extensions. I want them to feel like the same energy family without being literally the same.
5. Goku Ultra Instinct x Naruto Baryon Mode (DBZ x Naruto)
This is the power fusion. The highest sustained power levels from both shows, both achieved through a form of surrender — Ultra Instinct removes conscious thought, Baryon Mode burns life force. The parallel is darker than the shows acknowledge, and I want the piece to reflect that.
Expect a lot of white energy and a composition that implies downward weight even in the peak of their power.
6. Kanao x Nobara (Demon Slayer x JJK)
The first anime character fusion on this list that centers on two female characters, and honestly it's overdue. Kanao and Nobara share a specific kind of determination that comes from having survived something. The visual contrast is interesting: Kanao's refined stillness against Nobara's aggressive energy.
7. Meruem x Muzan (HxH x Demon Slayer)
The apex predator fusion. Two characters who exist in their respective shows as something categorically above everything around them. The challenge here is that both characters operate visually through restraint — the most dangerous version of both is the quietest one.
8. Asta x Denji (Black Clover x Chainsaw Man)
This is the chaos fusion. Two characters who work through sheer uncontrollable force, both wielding something most people can't even touch. The anti-magic sword vs. chainsaw visual is almost too obvious — but I think there's a version of this that goes somewhere beyond the obvious.
9. Madara x Yhwach (Naruto x Bleach)
The villain fusion. Both characters are the kind of antagonists that entire series are secretly about — everything that happens in Naruto and Bleach is ultimately a response to these two men. The grandeur of the concept needs a composition that matches it.
This one needs the most canvas space of anything on the list.
10. Light Yagami x Aizen (Death Note x Bleach)
The intelligence fusion. Two characters who are playing a completely different game than everyone around them — not through power but through information and manipulation. The visual challenge is that neither character has a dramatic transformation state. The tension has to come entirely from composition and color.
Vote in the Stream
All ten of these are real concepts I'll draw eventually. But I'm starting with whichever one gets the most votes in Twitch chat during the next dedicated draw stream.
Come vote. Come watch the first sketch happen live.
